SDSCNet lets remote users access the CRAY XM-P-48 system from their own desks. SCSCNet, which allowed users to remotely connect to SDSC’s Cray XM-P-48 supercomputer from their desktops, was essentially a clone of the MFENET – the network of the National Magnetic Fusion Energy Computer Center at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
