SDSC Provides Secure Environment for Data Collection for Children’s Health Study
SDSC was selected to host and manage collected data as part of the National Children’s Study (NCS), the largest long-term examination of children’s health and development ever conducted in the United States. The NCS study was led by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, through the National Institutes of Health, National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Nationally, the study is following 100,000 children from before birth to age 21 to learn how the environment influences children’s health, development, and quality of life.
