As the U.S. and other countries work to mitigate the devastating effects of the COVID-19 disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, SDSC contributes by providing researchers priority access to its high-performance computer (HPC) systems and other resources to advance our understanding of the virus. Access to SDSC’s Comet supercomputer was coordinated through the COVID-19 HPC Consortium, a national alliance of computing resources announced in March 2020.
